Busy meetings, tele-conferences, video-conferences, speeding up the processes, trying new methods of interviewing people. Are u a Usability Engineer? Well you could be then in these waves of actions. But lets give a thought about the future. The future of usability, its implications and how its going to change the way we live we interact with appliances, applications and more. The world has started to realise the importance of Usability as a mainstream activity and big firms have started to set aside budgets for Usability for their projects or products. Cool...sounds good. So everything is starting to become usable and what next??? Strange it should be. Is it going to be a perfect world with perfect products? May be not. Lets see what if usability is made mainstream in every industry and services. 1. Productivity increases. 2. Discipline of thought and action will be in place 3. Returns on investments will grow steadily 4. Awareness of usability will be so high that cutting edge gizmos with poor usability will not be appraised anymore. 5. Products will be more safer to operate 6. Get what u want in the least possible time 7. Frustrations are ruled out So its going to be one good world to live in.. Excuse me...do i hear any noises...??? :)
